Almost certainly. And it probably will be overturned--and should be, in my opinion. The overwhelming majority of case law for 200 years has indicated that regulation of firearms is okay--as long as it doesn't PREVENT peoplefrom owning gus.

But--the right-wing isn't going to like the ruling, unless theCourt really goes off on a tangent, which I don't expect. They rule that the DC ban is unconstitutional. But they are almost certainly going to make clear that regulation (registration, licensing, waiting-periods, etc.) are allowable, as long as they don't have the effect of prohibiting gun oweership by law-abiding citizens.

BTW--I'm a liberal. Thsiis is simpy my opiniion. But--thiswil surprise the cons--many liberals (including me) have firearms. In fact, liberals own more than conservatives do. :)

I believe this. Why might desire to an upstanding citizen be barred from dealing with weapons whilst criminals gets their palms on one even with the regulation? I plan on doing some entertainment capturing as quickly as I become previous (if people canpersistent at severe speeds in a controlled atmosphere for exciting, i'm going to be on the form, thank you), and that i'm no longer attempting to be counseled that i'm able to deal with numerous quite a number of risky equipment on a street with infinite individuals in all kinds of climate yet no longer hearth projectiles at a paper objective from a hand-held piece of kit.

I know, you live there, and it's all about our individual back yards, right?

Just remember that if it weren't for Chicago, IL would be a red state. I had never heard of K. Pulaski before moving to the state, and that's a great example of what can happen - if voters push hard enough, anything is possible. (for those of you outside, Kazimir P. was a cavalier general from Poland that trained cavalry during the revolution for us. There's lots of Polish descended people living in Chicago.) There's plenty of voters in Chicago.

With a total gun ban, Washington DC has more murders by gun fire than both contiguous states combined.

That would be how it works when the Supreme Court makes a decision.

Not much room for interpretation in that.
