ive been shy all my life the only way i can see to overcome it is that every time i get anxious or obsessive over doing something that scares me {even if its something really little} i force myself to do it, then i am okay & really proud of myself. step by step ive gotton so much better, but its wierd bc if i do things the same way for a long time {like sitting in the same spot in class or the cafeteria} i almost have a fear to sit somewhere else so i just force myself to get everything done & out of the way so i have nuthin left to be afriad of cuz ive done it all before. it works.. slowly lol. this is probaly something with a name to it lol but i call it shyness & i have been doing well.

I don't. I intend to cower in the dark for as long as I like and then crawl out like a wounded dog when I feel more brave. We all can't be lions.

I don't intend to surpass any of my fears.
Fear is a good thing.
It's what keeps us from jumping off high places and coming to the surface when we're out of breath underwater.
Fear is good.
It's what keeps the species going!

well theres technique called Flooding.......
I wouldnt reccomend that.....

Theres also a different method, I forget the name
but you concentrate on the "good" your fear brings to this world. For example, Im scared to frigging death of needles and blood, but just concentrating on the fact that millions of lives are saved because of blood donation, keeps me calm...for a short period of time...

idk Im still very scared of needles and blood!

Truthfully, by wishful thinking. I hoped it would never come upon me. But it did - it was horrible; absolutely horrible. I made it through it though and am stronger for it.
