Hello,

I was wondering my co signer backed out because of marriage problems with my mom. I called and let the company know and they said you need a new co signer right away. They are holding the unit for me until the end of Dec. They are saying I cannot get my deposit back for last month's rent if I cannot find a new co signer and they find someone else to rent the unit. I need help what should I do - I can find another co signer but they have to meet certain requirements, etc. Please help.

I would suggest contacting a local real estate attorney to help you in the matter.

Apparently you have placed a deposit on premises in which the owner is not willing to give you a lease without financial backing. Your financial backing has deserted you, and the only way to resolve the situation is to find other qualified financial backing. The management company is in the driver's seat here. Your first mistake was providing a deposit and not having your cosigner back the lease at the same moment. Don't do it again.

specific, i'm sorry to declare -that's plenty like once you post earnest money on a house you elect to purchase - you're agreeing to post $800 for them to hold the condo for you. They agreed to hold your $800 as good faith so no one else might desire to hire the condo as quickly as you have been authorized, it is what happened right here - you signed the hire, and then desperate to returned out - that $800 is reimbursement to the owner for the renters he lost in the time of the time he held it for you - it is the only thank you to weed out people who're no longer particularly fascinated -
