Okay, so my best friend went into emergency surgery yesterday and she was sick all day yesterday. it was a really emotional time for me and her. Seeing her in pain hurt me a lot. I went to see her and i brought her 2 stuffed animals, some flowers, and a coloring book incase she got bored. She got to go home late this afternoon. I went to see her for about an hour, but i want to do something for her. Any ideas?

Get a photo album and put pictures of good times you have had in it and make her a card listing 10 things you love about being friends, 10 things she does that make you smile, 10 reasons you want her better, and tell her how sad you were to see her not feeling well.
Heres an example:
10 things I love about you
1 your ability to make others smile
2your laugh
3the way you make your eyebrows move whne your in trouble
10 things you do that make me smile
1 Tell me Im the bomb!
2 laugh at my dumbest jokes
3when you ask why it took so long for me to call you back
10 reason I want you to feel better
1 school stinks without you
2 who else am I gonna eat with
3no one else will listen to my stupid jokes
Do you see where Im coming from? These are things that she will remember FOREVER!!!! and they will make her laugh and smile like she hasnt in a long TIME!!!!!

Rent a movie, make some chicken soup (or buy some ice cream if she had a tonsillectomy) and just go spend the day with your friend. She needs to rest and to have you there is emotionally comforting. If you have enough money, buy her a silver bracelet (less than ten bucks at walmart) to celebrate doing well with surgery. She'll always have a reminder that you were there for her when she was sick.

First, my friends been in the hospital before. I'm not really as a sensitive person as some people are but, here are a few suggestions. Be the best friend you can be. Think about how you would want to feel if you were in her situation. If she is with her parents, ask if there is anything you can do to help prepare her food. Help out by telling her she looks better. You're thinking of her. Good luck!!

It sounds like you are a good friend. Just being there for her is probably the best thing you can do. Hang out with her. Books and puzzles and such are nice if she will be spending some time in bed for a while. Flowers and stuffed animals are also nice but the best thing is just your friendship and your company. she is lucky to have a friend like you.

Make her a scrap book full of pictures of good times together and that will make her happy! Also bring her flowers, food, and anything else that you think will cheer her up! I really think flowers and chocolate is a good idea because everyone knows that chocolate is awesome! Haha and flowers will brighten up her day! Just have fun and joke with her but be careful not to talk about any "emotional" thiings that will make her sad. Just have fun with her! Haha :D Give her all of your support!!

I think you've already done a lot for her, being there and experiencing her pain with her, bringing her gifts, and showing your concern by being a friend. I guess you could ask her if there's anything you can do, or anything she needs. But I think your friendship is what gives her the most comfort, and just knowing you're there for her. You're a true friend! She's lucky to have you.

You don't say what the surgery was for, however food is not the answer, take her a book to read, and just be there to do some things for her. A massage may also be welcomed.

Just be there. My best friend is sick, obviously not as bad as your friend is, but still she is bed ridden. I like to cook so I made her chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese, and we watched our favorite shows on tv while eatting. The rest of our day was spent just talking, watching tv and joking about our Plan B if college doesn't work out.

Just be there for her.. Night and Day!
Emotional support and any physical help would be a great thing for her at this time... Make her some meals to keep in the frig, feed her animals, walk her dog, and keep her upbeat.
Healing takes time.
Give her as much as you can!

Just spend the whole day with her the next time you have a chance. Bring over old pictures of u two. And just laugh a little(hoping that laughter doesn't call her pain).
