Nope, these men get paid MILLIONS to play, the least they can do is give it 110% for the ENTIRE game. If a team loses by 50 that should tell them they arent working hard enough or smart enough and if it happens regularly then the owners need to see they arent getting what they are paying for. For little kids I believe you stop scoring after a certain point but the older you get, the less merciful we should be so by the time one is at the pro level there should be no mercy.

agree with magneto, also next to the "tuck rule" and the "patriot rule" how come after every year they have to go over the rules the game has been played by and make or change rules because of the patsies

yeah, I read that today also...it involves ticket refunds at away games and they have to be up by 43 points going into the 4th quarter...also teams can pay the NFL 2 million and take a by week instead of playing the Pats...

nope... it's called football. players get paid $ millions to win, no to be shown mercy. I don't care how much the pats score, if you want to win, then go out there and stop them. And I say this not liking the patriots at all. They are just that good.

I brought this up weeks ago, when the "runninig the score up" thing started. Teams have come back from 5 touchdown deficits before, so how many points would it be before "mercy" was called? It would have to be at least 40.

Anyway, you're not being serious.

LOL wouldn't suprise me. After all don't they have a penalty named after a former Patriot.
The Ty Law rule.

Maybe when the score hit 50 points the game should just be considered over?

Mercy is for the weak. If you are able to score points, keep scoring them.

I had to watch my Browns get throttled by them, but I'd still vote for no. Teams that get beat and whine about it need to suck it up. To paraphrase Angrybot, "I think the problem is that you suck. You need stop, because this sucking is starting to be a real problem, mister."
