I agree. Bush put a end to late term partial birth abortions.

Bush is good at invoking the name of God when he wants people to think all of his decisions and focus come from a higher power. If you look at Christian principles and beliefs, how does Bush get your vote as the greatest Christian President? What criteria are you using? Christianity is to serve God according to the gospel of Jesus, plain and simple. How has Bush done this? When I look at America and the rest of the world prior to Bush becoming President and currently approaching Bush's end as President, I don't see a renewed belief in peace, goodwill, and the worship of God. Bush may be empowered and self-confident, but that is mostly arrogance and a sense of entitlement. Remember this is same guy who declared Oct. 1 as Child Health Day and then two days later vetoed getting more health coverage to ~4 million more children because it cost $35 billion (over 5 years). Hmmm...spending $35 billion more to help more children or spending ~$600+ billion (over 4 years in Iraq)? A true Christian knows the answer to this question.

I think that as a Christian, you should ask God to heal you of the apparent brain-washing you've suffered under the hands of conservatives who want to convince you that Republican=Christianity.
First of all, I'm not sure if you're being honest, sarcastic or ironic with your remarks. If you honestly think that Bush exudes confidence end empowerment I'm wondering if you're watching the same guy I've been cringing over for nearly eight years now. He's an ill-informed, ignorant and ill-tempered man with absolutely no talents what-so-ever in public speaking. He has manipulated the media, distracted voters from the real issues by hoarding onto conservative hot-points and he is apparently incapable of telling the truth.
I would go so far as to say that Bush has feigned his faith in order to win the support of conservatives who were the key demographic in charge of getting him re-elected. Do you think this is a sign of a decent Christian? I think it is the sign of a manipulative and dishonest abomination!
Also, in case you're wondering... these are not the words of some Godless liberal. I am a Democrat and I do tend to lean towards a more liberal view when it comes to politics. I'm also a Christian who attends church every week and tries to live a decent life. However, I refuse to let any man tell me my political views are a contradiction of my faith. I think what the conservatives have done is created an entire generation of so-called "Christians" who think they're role in this nation is to treat anyone who doesn't share their religious beliefs as an enemy. This is not what Christ preached at all. He didn't preach hatred and intolerance and He didn't preach dishonesty and chicanery. If I were you, I'd honestly ask God to speak to your heart about who and what a Christian really is.

Clearly, Bush is NOT a Christian. His actions in office have been far from Jesus-like. Perhaps you should see an ophthalmologist.
Edit: Bigballerrob22 - I'm not going to thumbs down you for being a pathetic Bush apologist. I'm going to thumbs down you for taking credit (plagiarizing) some other pathetic Bush apologist wrote.

Oh Dear me, you poor soul.
To bigballe.....did you know that good ole grand daddy bush was laundering the money for hitler??? Yup all Christians..
The Bush family go way back in money, oil, power and fraud, not to mention their love of the Saudi and bin Laden family. How could any GOOD HUMAN, never mind religion, treat people (WOMEN) the way those people do. They would not be welcomed into my home, never mind my country. They all have GREED...another great Christian quality?? NOT!!!
Oh and special "Christian" writers were hired by the Bush administration for his speech writings, so select words and phrases could be used that only Christians would here and say yay, what a guy.....
look it up, these are facts.
Oh and that self confidence you see in from a pill...he takes many of them. Another fact. Why do you think he screws up so many things...

Jesus Christ warned us about false prophets who come to us in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. He told us to judge them by their fruits.
Let's look at the fruits of George W. Bush:
- He waged an unprovoked war against Iraq
- He has cut safety net programs for the poor to fund his tax cuts for the wealthiest of the wealthy
- He has shown time-and-again that his is incapable of telling the truth ("we have no plans to invade Iraq", "I'll fire anybody inolved with the CIA leak", "You're doing a heckuva job Brownie", "We're turning the corner in Iraq", "I never said 'We're turning the corner'", "Mission Accomplished", etc. etc. etc.)
- More children are living in poverty than ever
- More children are without any insurance or medical care than ever
Rotten fruit indeed.
No, George Bush's one and only true god is $$$$. Don't be fooled into thinking otherwise.

After the last two Presidential Elections, he has got to be greater that Jesus Christ. After all, all the churches that I attended that were part of the Christian right, spoke more about George Walker Bush more than they did Jesus Christ. What happened to all you people that got all glassy eyed about Ronald Wilson Reagan? You know, the one that Jerry Falwell said that your salvation is doubtful if you don't vote for him? Then we found out that he and his wife consorted with sorcerers and astrologers, most of their adult life? But, then again, Jesus will turn a blind eye to the right wing, right?

Oh yes, he is a great christian president. I mean, it is so moralistic to send thousands of innocent lives to fight until their death for no reason. Then on top of that, what's better than lying about it? Oh yeah, not sending help to American citizens stranded on their rooftops in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina is exactly what Jesus would have done! George Bush- a christian oh yeah!!!
