how to convert 7 3/4 to a whole number?

1 = 4/4 ... so ... 7 = 7*1 = 7/1 * 4/4 (multiply straight across) = 28/4

then just add the additional 3/4 ... so ... 7 & 3/4 = 31/4

7 3/4 Take the 3/4 and multiply it by a hundered it would be 300/4. 300/4 is 75. so it is 7.75. Do this on anyother problem if you want to convert it into decimal
