my OLD best friend turned gothic and I don't know why.

A lot of times people are just looking for an outlet and escape from the way things really are and that's what they get when they get when the get into groups like that. sometimes its a support system that they don't have at home and it makes them fell like people understand them. Sometimes its a good thing sometimes its a bad thing Just try to except it or if its a dangerous gang try to help them get out my husband did!!

I "turned" Gothic a few years ago when I was younger. But for me it was a gradual process. I didn't just decide to start wearing black from one day to the next. Mainly what attracted me to the Goth culture was two things: the music and an interest in being around other people with a personality type similar to mine (introverted/creative).
I no longer am into the Goth scene. I no longer go to Goth clubs or look the part. I still listen to the music however.

First off - only pathetic wannabes "turn" goth... Or Emo (as is the current "trend")
A person IS what they ARE - and if that person is someone who hates ALL the bullshit that the "mainstream" world throws at them - then they have ALWAYS been goth (but not AWARE of it)...
And WHAT does that have to do with GANGS?!?!?!?!? ;););)

Because they're insecure by themselves. Behind a gang with a gun inhand makes them feel like they have authority. Even though its a downhill situation they'll end up dead or behind bars. Great reward for losing insecurity.

People generally start acting / dressing goth when they have had something tragic in their life happen, or they simply hate conforming and like to show some individualism that way. Either way, most of them are hot.
