You're not 25 yet or even 21 so you'll get a higher rate. The good thing is your bike is inexpensive so comprehension and theft will keep the rate low, liability is cheap on bikes. Here's something to consider - many companies only pay a max of $1,000 and I have full coverage health and accident insurance through another policy. Medical coverage will cost you dearly so if you have health insurance I'd opt out of it all together but check your policy before you decide. Being 20 puts you in a "tweener" position, many your age don't have coverage unless they are a full-time student covered under their parents policy or are employed with their own coverage. I'm much older, much experienced, and have a much higher valued and larger bike - mine is $400 a year full coverage without medical - State Farm. Progressive recently quoted me $550 without medical coverage. I am established State Farm customer, with auto and home... that helps also.

I'm a 45 year old male and i've ridden since i was 18. But i only had a bike until i was around 21 and sold it. I then bought another when i was 41 or 42. I have a 750 Honda Shadow Spirit that is a 2001 model. I have complete/full coverage on the bike through Progressive Insurance and it cost me only $98 per year.

Male, 35 years old, married.
Riding for 5 years, currently on a 2006 Kawasaki ZZR600 (sport bike).
Insurance company totaled my first bike, a 2003 Suzuki SV650S, after I crashed. Rates did not go up.
I ride year-round, unless there's actually snow & ice on the streets (welcome to Colorado!), and put about 7,000 miles a year on my bike. I wear full gear, and took an MSF course when I started (it was actually a REQUIREMENT that I take it by my ins. co.)
I have full coverage on my bike with a $500 deductible, and $1000 medical coverage (which covers all my health insurance deductibles).
I pay $34/month.

34 years olds and I've been riding for 9 years.
I currently ride a Suzuki 1400 Intruder (cruiser style bike).
Full coverage insurance costs me $24/month through State Farm. I maintain insurance all year.
I do get a premium reduction due to multi-vehicle. I also insure my truck and van through State Farm.

57 year old female
20 years riding experience all over the US,Canada, and Mexico.
Harley Davidson, BMW's, Triumph,
Full coverage with State Farm always with a 100 dollar detuctible.
I never paid over $453 in California for the full year.
While living in Alaska and the summer is shorter and your bike is sitting inside for 4-6 months we paid over $500 and up depending on the year... We had new 1300cc HD.
Hope this helps... Discounts always given to motorcycle safety riders, Hog, and other organizations.. We, husband and myself had no tickets and no accidents and never reported a theft of any kind...

Age: 44 years, married
Experience: 18 years
Type of bike: HD FXD35 Superglide
Policy coverage: liability, uninsured/underinsured motorist, medical. Covers me, my passenger, and any other. I don't remember the limits, they are higher than the required minimums.
Cost: about $34 a month on a 6 month policy (I think, it's paid already)
Good driver discount.

46 years old
30 years experience
2 bikes and 1 atv- 05 Suzuki M50, 05 Yamaha FZ6, and 06 Suzuki Eiger 4x4 ATV
all are covered under one policy, all have full coverage with $500 deductible with towing only on the bikes.
I pay $285 per year on all 3
Note: I live in Pennsylvania, where you can only ride the bikes 5 months a year, and that reflexes the price

$298/year I think
24, two years of riding experience. 1997 Kawasaki Ninja 500 (huge, i know)
Essentially the bike is not covered at. I have $300,000 in un-insured/underinsured motorist coverage, and $1mil in injury coverage for myself and any passengers.
as I said, the bike is not covered if I am at fault.
It's a "drive" policy through progressive
