I think i heard somone say that the man that made or owned las vegas won it by gambling, is that true????

not true the city was a railroad stop.
Boulder Dam called that first, now Hoover Dam was under construction during the depression. Boulder is a dry town.
Workers would come to Las VEgas for entertainment. And women.
That is the foundation of the town.

The members of organized crime did not come till the late 40s.

NO! People think that Bugsy Segel created the city. He DID NOT. The first casino here was El Rancho (gone long ago). Bugsy used union money to help create a casino but he never finished it before he was slaughtered in front of his girlfriend in CA.

There is NOT one casino in Vegas now or in the past that was won.

bugsy started vegas every1 thought he was crazy sayin no 1 would go to the middle of the desert to gamble but look at it now
