—now that Scott McClellan has implicated Bush in the outing of Valerie Plame:

• “The most powerful leader in the world had called upon me to speak on his behalf and help restore credibility he lost amid the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. So I stood at the White House briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.”

• “There was one problem. It was not true.”

• “I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President’s chief of staff, and the president himself.”

-- Scott McClellan (Former Bush White House Press Secretary) from his memoir to be published next April.

And, if yours had a brain…terror organization would not have grown in size, popularity, and success over the past 8 years; America would not have lost its reputation and moral authority in international affairs; our military would not be stretched thin, worn out, and demoralized; our soldiers would be better equipped in the field and better treated, both medically and socially, when they returned home; our economy would not be tanking with the Chinese holding our notes over our head; Afghanistan would be a model of American commitment, accomplishment, and human decency; and the catastrophic failure in Iraq would have never happened.

This pot calling the kettle black routine has run its course. The fact that Republicans had dominant control of Congress for 6 years – and nearly equal representation for the past year – has blocked every attempt to obtain truth-in-government from the current administration.

If things are so great in Bushburg, why is it that the nitwit cannot buy a friend among Republicans up for (re)election?

Lest we forget—it was the CIA that demanded an investigation of the Plame affair; and, it was the CIA that submitted documented testimony in the Libby trial that Plame was, indeed, a covert agent. If you have an issue with the investigation, evidence, trial, and outcome – take it up with the CIA and the Justice Department.

How about former treasury secretary Paul O'Neill's—and CIA director George Tenet’s—and Colin Powell’s books? And, while technically not a White House official, Alan Greenspan is as “insider Washington” as a person can be.

And, what about Bush’s own “official” unauthorized biography that he spent time in the Oval Office working on with the author (in addition to the time he spent talking to Bob Woodward for his three books on the Bush White House). This is the first time in modern history that the memoirs of a U.S. President have been released while he’s still in office. Maybe if he had spent more time concerned about the nation and less time concerned about his own place in the history books, his Presidency would not have become the pathetic failure that history will recall.

ROTFLMAO. That’s the best you’ve got? Don’t let the truth and reality influence your opinion in any way; you might get a headache.

I guess you have forgotten that Roosevelt had to pull conservatives into WWII kicking and screaming because they didn’t want to lose the good business deals they had going with Hitler.

Exactly; and the “I had UNKNOWINGLY passed along false information.” thing is especially lame and self-serving. But then, what’s a boy to do if he was a principal in organized criminal activities and fears future legal actions.

Expect slime to exhibit its typical characteristics. None who have unquestioningly followed orders of this pathetic administration will come forward until it's in their perceived best interests (read $) to do so.

As correct as it may be for McClellan to raise these matters, one could easily question how he allowed himself to be so duped at the time when any other reasonable person in the same situation would have questioned every proclamation of this despicable administration. His book will sell but its a shame he only admits to administration manipulations of information (propaganda-spreading) when he is allowed to profit from them. That's not what I call integrity.

Back to your question though, I think the dick Cheney's talented and lovely wife Agnes (aka Lynne) has masterminded many of the misdeeds of the current regime. Perhaps her hairdresser will come forward when the money is right and Lynne has returned to slopping hogs on the Eastern Shore of Maryland or avoiding cow pies in Wyoming.

The question should be - Will the Bummer ever release his sealed records?
Did the Bummer intentionally lie about Libya?
Did the Bummer know you can't keep your doctor?
Is the Bummer simply a community organizer?
Has the Bummers golf game improved while in office?
How much has the Bummer and his family spent on vacations while he's been in office?

To be published next April? And you have seen it and already bought into a part of it.

I see and you expect the rest of the world to follow along.

If even one tenth of the accusations thrown at bush had any merit at all then he would have been impeached long ago.

Just keep throwing mud at the White House and eventually some of it might stick.

And by the way , why hasn't the Dem congress taken any action?

Lest we forget that Valerie Plame was not a covert agent, but only propped up by democrats and the liberal media as more important than she was.

Information about her activities didn't need to be "outed" by anyone, because she NEVER worked covertly for the government.

You liberals always forget that part when you retell the trumped up story.

It's hilarious that you take a teaser quote from an unpublished book written by a man that will not take interviews to confirm or deny the content as fact.

Let me know when you have some more gossip to spread.

Hard to tell They seem to always be one crime a head. Start investigating one they commit another. Got us spinning in an endless circle with luck the circle will break. Then they will all point the finger at each other but more likely at some patsy in the military.

there hasn't been a first one yet. The man is trying to sell a book. and look at the timing of its release? Its amazing that liberals take something like this as true without reading it.

Once again Valerie Plame was not outed for being a spy . She was not undercover. That is why Scooter Libby was prosecuted for lying to a grand Jury. They went after him on a non crime. Ignorant Liberals grasping at straws again. You can't get at President Bush and it is eating you up inside. Get over it he has beaten you guys again.
