RICARDVS, I know as well as you do that this is inevitable. The GOP is in its last years of existence. I do not support the GOP anymore, because they have given in way too much to the Democrats, and thus have failed to be a strong political party. And I do agree with you that a democrat's America will fail to be America. We will become a poor, socialist nation, with very little freedom. We already have become a socialist nation, for 40% on average of an American's income goes to the government. This is ridiculous! The Founding Fathers would be appalled. They fought in the Revolutionary War because of a few tiny taxes, and to creat a country where the government did not take all of their citizens money. This is what the democrats have done to us and will do to us if they get control. And people like Guiliani and Romney have gone so far in that direction that they contribute to their cause more than they hurt it.
And to all the people that say San Francisco is a nice city, you have probably only been to the nice part, and of course its going to be nice on those streets. It is a disgusting city otherwise. There are more homeless people there than any other city in the US. It would be a great city, if it werent for the crime and mass homelessness. The democrats have destroyed that city, and they will do the same to the United States if they get in control.
RICARDVS, the only presidential candidate who will prevent this from happening is Ron Paul. I fear that you do not see this. He is the only man running right now who could have run as a republican 20-30 years ago. He does not fluff up his beliefs to appeal more to centrists and undecided independents. He sticks to his conservatism, and, according to a FOX poll in NH yesterday, was in 4th place. Pleeeease learn more about this guy. Do not look to the media to learn about him, because all the media is biased against him. Simply look at his voting record, which no other GOP candidate now can boast. He is everything you seem to want in a candidate, and I really think you would support him if you looked past the media's hate for him and learned the facts about him.

The same thing when Republicans did the same?
Shame on you! A judge's political affiliation is not supposed to play a part in the judicial system. Therefore one party cannot take all three branches...
Where on earth did you get that kind of idea? Those AM Radio stations? Judges are either centrist, conservative, or liberal depending on their judgment history. There is no political affiliation aside from that. If anyone says otherwise, they have an agenda to push.

First, they'll have to take stock and figure out which mess to clean up first. It's going to take time, but we have only one way to go, and that is UP. I think we'll earn back the respect we once had from the rest of the world. Be patient...things will get better when we have leaders who are not war profiteers.

I won't say democrats, because Dems and Repubs are different sides of the same coin. But, I will say that when Liberal/progressives take back control of this country, then the country will belong to the people again. *sm*

Hopefully this will never happen. But, if it did, it would be bad news for America.

how about worrying about something that matters?
My suggestion would be worrying about lacking oversight in warantless wiretapping programs, since this is precisly the kind of thing people use to justify the 2nd amendment.
