i think its hard to say they both have strong points nas is a very educated man who can reach in witht eh kids but jay-z has a way of reaching out to the hood but yet carrying himself and his lyrics with him hard to explain but musicians wioll know what i mean so i thinks its more of a tie

well IMO "lyrically" is a dumb term because anything with lyrics in it is Lyrical !!!!! people need to be more specific and come up with better terms when comparing two different rappers and simple put things like "who is better lyrically"
TJIN but the song "crank dat" despite how terrible it is it has lyrics which makes it lyrical with out lyrics than a song is just an instrumental
so people need to redefine what they truly mean by "lyrical" because anything with Lyrics is "lyrical"
