Sprained maybe, or dislocation, there are a lot of small bones in the ankle, see your doc or nurse, cold compress if its swollen, tight bandage if not, and keep your foot elevated if bruising is starting, but see your doc as soon as you can, don't think its a trip to A&E, just keep an eye on it.....

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

It could be just twisted or it could be a mild sprain. I suggest that you see how it feels the next day and if it still hurts and it pops then i would suggest seeing a doctor. As long as you can move it, it is not broken but again, if it is still hurting, SEE A DOCTOR! you don't want to just leave it if it still hurts or it could get worse. mabey put some ice on it or if it is muscular pain, put heat on it for short periods of time. that is what i suggest but again if it still hurts after a day or two, see a doctor about it. Most likely, it is just twisted

It could be a sprain or a strained ligament/tendon. Id use a neoprene brace for support, (that's what my doctor has me do for my knee with torn ligaments that was operated on but either didn't heal right or got torn again in yet another fall....) Make sure you get in to the doctor to get it checked out. It could cause problems down the road when you're old like me.

You sprained it and should keep off it as much as possible for about a week. The ankle will uasually heal itself if not used a lot. Use Ibuprofen for the pain and ice it every 5 hours.

You sprained it. Keep it elevated when you can. Put ice on it when you can also. Try and do some ankle circles and stretching it so it doesn't happen again.

well if it got all fat it's probally sprained. if so just putt ice on it, and then keep it up in the air so it will not be so fat ya know.
n then if not it's probally just stretched. mine always cracks, it's normal. OR it's not the same, n go get it checked

it's not sprained, because it wouldn't pop. You need to go to a doctor, it's probably an out of place ligiment.

you probably spranged it. but it is not broken. just rest. and when it comes to school just take it easy. next time you have practice you should sit out until you think you are ready to play.
