Fascinated. There's no reason to be frightened by life - as FDR said, "the only thing we have to fear...is fear itself."

Both, actually. I am facinated sometimes that I am still alive. I look back at my life; all the stupid things I did and my time in the Army and realize I am pretty damned lucky to be here. I am frightened sometimes; especially when I remember my brother who died so young, my parents and all the others in my family who have gone on. I am the only one left and sometimes it's overwhelming to think that I better do something worthwhile in this life so that I will have not died in vain (which I hope is a long ways down the road). That's why I became a teacher and an artist. I hope I can do something with those 2 careers that makes a difference. I know I'll never be rich, but I hope someone's life is better because of me. Ok, I'll wipe the tears out of my eyes and take off the Bette Midler cd.... "did you ever know that you're my hero......" lol

Totally fascinated. I usually cannot wait to wake up in the mornings because I am excited to be alive and am anxious to see what surprises the day brings.
The last few weeks have been very trying on me but I still try to stay positive no matter how hopeless things seem at those moments
