There is work out there. You are probably wanting a job that pays well like everyone else. You will have to pay your dues. Start looking for labor jobs at construction sites. You may have to compete with illegal aliens. Never lie about your past. If you have learned from your mistakes people will forgive you. You will have to work hard. If you do a good job, show up on time and admit to your mistakes and don't whine. You will get training and small pay increases. More importantly you will be getting training that you can use for the rest of your life. Do you like working outdoors? You can do framing, painting or do masonry work, or roofing. Indoor work is carpet laying, laying tiles, doing finishing work, also painting, drywall or many other things. Good luck.

Yes, but the options will be severely limited. You can not work at schools, most government jobs, the military. The key is being honest about the felony convistion when applying for a job. That will go a long way toward showing the prospective employer that the person is reformed.

Yes, they can... but most likely not something that pays real well unless their education outweighs the felony... Gas stations, little convenience stores, small businesses of that kind. Tougher, but not impossible.
