I need to move my bathroom drain 18 inches to the right for a new vanity. It drops straight down right now. Can I just cut the line and do an elbow to where I need it?

It was behind drywall, but that was removed this morning so I can get to it. It is a full remodel. The supply lines I can move as well. Those I am not as concerned about as the drain since i don't want any unneccesary backups!

Master plumber from London, and qualified to work in lead.

haven't got a clue what the other posters are on about, talk about over engineer a simple solution.

You can do exactly what you stated, cut in, 90deg bend, job done.

If your not happy, cut a tee joint in, with an access plug to clear any blockages you may get in the future,

I would, especially if it was all going to be covered by the cabinet. Just keep all your runs down hill. It is a drain so you don't want water standing in it unless it's in the trap. How about the supply lines??? Are you just going to go with flex lines off the current angle stops? If so that should work OK as well, just don't make them too short. Better 4 inches too long than 1/4 inch too short.
