one place out of many that comes to mind was riding on a freight train in an open freight car going through the cascade mountains in the snow. it was spectacular. hanging on and looking over the edge of a cliff and seeing a several thousand foot drop was very exciting. what a trip.

I always feel a bit of excitement when I am in a new place with my family, you know, just touring. I sort of find excitement when we go to provinces around the Philippines and see a different atmosphere and culture there. Hong Kong is pretty exciting too, but I wasn't with my family so I did not enjoy much of the trip.
But I guess Y!A counts as an exciting place. There's always something interesting here.

I really can't say any one place was more exciting than another. I have been all over the world and enjoyed traveling and seeing different cultures. I was in Vietnam and found the people very pleasant. I guess I define excitement as the culmination of all my experiences. Something I have never done is take a cruise. I am skeptical about getting sick, because I did get sick over the English Channel and if I couldn't control it, the cruise would be a bust.

That is a tough one, GEM... if you are talking about specific places with a whole boatload of exciting things going on, I would say NYC, Chicago or Montreal.... but for me personally, the most exciting time I ever had was the first weekend trip my girlfriend and I ever had together... it was just exciting because I really fell in love with her that weekend... it wasn't so much the place, it was the person I was with...

A small town in Poland. I had never been out of the United States before so seeing an entirely different culture was a real eye opener for me. Made me appreciate what I've got.
