Not in the traditional sense, not as someone who performs great deeds. Perhaps he may be considered a hero because he had the courage to defy his family in order to pursue his love, risking his own safety. He did not submit passively to what was expected of him.
And it was because of both Romeo and Juliet's act of defiance that the two families reconciled after many years.

do i agree or disagree that romeo is her --- WHAT? you didn't specify. The only thing i can say about the play is that it sucks. I absolutely abhor romeo & juliet. I think it was Shakespeare's Worst play ever. Sorry, I am not a Montague vs Capulet fan lol *thinks* romance novels.... *ick!* ♥
