Austin is a boy's name. Adding a random Y does not make it feminine.

Austin is a popular boy name. Last year it was 41 out of a 1000

Why would you want to name a girl a top 100 boys name?
It like people naming a boy a top 100 girl name, should not be done

That's my opinion

Pathetically misspelled. Random y's are not cool or unique-they are just misspelled. I agree with the Jane Austen spelling if you must use it for a girl.

As the mom of an Austin I do like the name, but I used it for my son.

The name: sure. The spelling: not in a million years.

If you like Austin, use Austin. If you want a more "feminine" connection, use Austen (a la Jane)! But randomly sticking a Y in there is anything but feminine or attractive. It's just misspelled, plain and simple.

It sounds Like a cute name

That's dreadful. First of all, Austin is a city, not a name. Second of all, if you absolutely must use it for a name, it's a boys' name. Third of all, if you can't spell it, don't use it.

Pick something else.

My 4 year old daughter has a friend named Austin, it's a really cute name for a girl. I like the traditional spelling though.

No it's a boy's name. It would be like naming her Jasyn or Thomys. Just because the spelling is different it doesn't matter. Yuck!

I love the name. I think it's cute and original. Personally, I love the spelling, I think it makes it more feminine, like Carolyn or Kaitlyn, and has a certain glamour to it.

<3 good luck with the baby
