Well this is a situation which totally sucks, because in essence you're stuck. The man is left with no guilt for basically ruining your life, and you're left with a ruined life, not being able to stand up for yourself (that is if you go by the law). Seriously though, a good ***-kicking would be fair, however, I'm not sure that it would be worth it given the circumstances! However in the heat of the moment, we don't consider these consequences. I feel bad for your friend, because his actions were fully justified, and understandable, and I really hope that he gets the understanding of the judge...
But personally, I would do the same if it happened abrubptly, but if i knew about the cheating that was taking place and had a chance to cool off... I would think about the long-term, and just make the two of them leave.
Good Luck to Your friend, and hope he gets off with nothing, after all he's the victim here, not the asshole messing with his girlfriend.

No...I'd just take it that the marriage is now over and start packing. The fight or flight mechansim is biological and hard to resist when you feel such pain....but it doesnt fix anything.
Why should the guy hit the bloke anyway because it was the wife doing the wrong thing...not the man. She was the one who made her decision.....that her husband wasnt worth committing to...she just doesnt love him anymore.
Should a wife be bashed for no longer loving? No, physical threats/abuse is WRONG....so all you can do is seek a divorce and try to get on with your life.
Its also quite possible that, if the man is given to fighting, his demeaner is fairly negative/abusive anyway...which could be WHY the woman doesnt love him anymore and chose to push that trigger to enforce a separation. She brought on the catalyst...the other guy just got caught in the middle (in more ways than one).

I wouldn't fight the guy if I wanted to stay out of jail. Because I know someone that that happened to. The fight only escalates. Before you know it, a knife was involved, guy got slashed (nothing serious) but the husband had to do 3 months in jail. It's just not worth it. Is that woman worth it? No.

No...but I am a female. If I caught my husband in this situation I would take a photo if I had my camera to document it and then take the high road and be as mature as I could about it. Even though this is hard to do, I think it shows the other person that you are a true adult and not some immature, ready to fight, redneck. Wow, though. Rough. On second thought I might take a video and then blackmail...there are so many possibilities!

You'd only go to jail if the cops were called! I wouldn't think a wife would necessary want that in the papers!!
Though I would never hit a woman, I'd make sure the door smacked her *** on her way out!

Hey think about it - who's more to blame? The guy with no respect for the husband, or the whore of a wife with no respect for her husband?
Tell your friend to dump that c.u.n.t. asap.
That guy may have no morals and be a total d-bag, but the real issue is with the woman. If it wasn't him, it would be someone else, and maybe they didn't get caught for a long time. That would be even worse.

Yes. If I were a man , that is!
Since I am a woman.. if i found a woman in my home having sex with my husband.. if my husband had long hair I would drag him out of the house and throw his disgusting cheating lying peepee onto the street ( if I was physically able to do so ) along with her disgusting fat, skinny, or inbetween buttocks.

It would be tough. Instinctively, my reaction would be to fight.
However, I hope I would be disciplined enough to fight that urge, stay out of jail, and plot my revenge on both of them in a more diabolical way.
Remember, revenge is a dish best served cold.

Nope. I'd hand the lady divorce papers, and end it. Betrayal is betrayal, and only 20% of marriages survive it, even when both are in counseling, and even when both wish to save the marriage. 20% is an F in school, and an F. in life. Why bother?

Similar thing happened to a friend of mine and he shot the guy. He did a few years in lockup for it. Me, it is hard to say. I would like to think I would walk away but no one truly knows what can happen in the heat of passion, especially if disrespected like that in your own home. Instincts say kill both the mother****
