ok so i have a really big tank for my turtles and i clean it every saturday or every other saturday and i luv them and they are doing really good but the last 2 weekends have been really busy and im still in school and i do volleyball after school so saturday is the only day i can clean it [i have two turtles betty boop, and brueno] and the tank was SOO DIRTY and i felt so bad and the water was low [they are red eared sliders] and they looked not as perky so i took them out like two minutes ago washed their shells feed them and put them in a 6 gallon tank with clean water. my question is will they be ok until tomorrow at 3:30? it has enough space for like 4 turtles to be side by side in but they did seem to perk up when i put them in there. but will they be ok being in such a small tank until the afternoon? and i am trying to convince my mom to let me put them in the bathtub in the morning.
THNX!and please no sarcasim or meaness i no i messed up but i usually take awsome care of them!

They should be fine. They are regularly shipped in much, much more crowded conditions.

Now, for some mild 'chewing out'...

How well can you care for your turtles normally? If you have trouble keeping their cares caught up, you should think about other options.

For example- cleaning it every week means it is either too small, or you do not have a good enough filter. Cleaning the tank is a pain for you, and stressful for them. Get a good filter (about 3 times bigger than the tank, external, with lots of water movement).

It is pretty easy to have a great tank that takes almost no cares- you may want to think about that.

Your turtles will be fine. But- to properly care for them, you need the right size tank for your two turtles. I don't know how big they are, but it sounds like they're extremely crowded. The general rule of thumb is 10 gallons per 1 inch of turtle. So if you have two 1-inch turtles, you need a 20 gallon tank. A cheap and good solution is to get a 20 gallon Rubbermaid container. It costs like $5 for one at Target or Walmart. Also, the water level needs to be higher. RES love deep water, so try and make the water as deep as you can, without risking them crawling out and escaping.

Also, turtles are notoriously dirty. They eat very messily and poo a whole lot. So I'd start saving to get a water filter; that will really help if you're struggling to clean the tank all the time.

How big is this tank? RES turltes can get pretty nippy with each other so if they're still young every thing should e ok now if there adults in a 6 gallon tank they can bite the crap out of each other for space. i would suggest get a box put some damp paper towels and put them in there so they dont bite each other. They can easily kill each other in such a small space.

Your turtles will be fine! Don't worry, but in truth turtles do love new environments! So a night in the bathtub would probably perk them up really well! make sure they have some sort of ground to sleep on in the tub.

Ok the feminine more commonly killed the boy due to the fact that she used to be better and there wasnt sufficient area. Turtles want a tremendous tank to are living in although its just one. sure its good enough if shes by myself they truthfully love it bigger. Turtles arent tremendous on sharing. sure a cooter loves water the deeper the bigger. All aquatic turtles sleep below water they may be able to preserve their breath lengthy sufficient. Remember its 10 gallons according to inch of turtle. So in case your turtles is two inches you wish to have a 20 gallon tank. I believe i replied all of your questions

ya of course theyll be ok until tomorrow-but one thing is for sure-before u go to school or maybe after but one thing u HAVE to KNOW is that u HAVE to CLEAN THEIR TANK before or after school(before is better) clean, feed, water watever u gotta do u do it before or after school.FOR SURE!!!! and DONT put them in the bathtub.DONT PUT THEM IN THE TUB cuz wat if somoone goes in there and steps(or sees)2 turtles and some poop in the tub and-well my point is that DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE TUB it will be a catastrophe!!!!itll go chaos i mean it will be chaos
