i am a single parent in need of some christmas for my children but i dont have the funds to do it .everything in my area is closed for sighning up and my children are to oldfor the items.

I don't know if you attend a church, but a lot of churches take up donations for children this time of year. Also, check with your local fire department as they take up donations for children's gifts and have gifts donated to them for children.

DO NOT put it on a credit card--it will just come back to haunt you. if you have a bit of money try a dollar store or ebay or a thrift shop. there's always a diamond in the ruff.
spend the day walking around a city near you and looking at the decorations or something, then going home and having a dinner. or maybe go to a friend or family member's house for this or Adopt A Family??

Inquire with your local United Way. I have a friend who works there and is coordinating the Adopt A Family program. I'm sure she is still taking requests.

Search for a 'Freecycle website" in your area. People give away good items that they do not want. You can ask for certain items too. You can probably get all kinds of things your kids would want. Just polish them up and wrap them up pretty.

Why don't you have a big family dinner or something like that, or you could have a big family party thing, with board games or stuff like that, cookies and hot chocolate, then maybe you guys can go outside to have a big snowball fight.

Even if you sell the stuff you get for a few dollars
you can save enough to get them something,
Do babysitting, or clean someones house , theres enough time if you get started
