I have one and I placed it inside my grandfather clock, is that good? Will that bring good luck or will the grandfathe rclock sort of block the good luck?

I know it is tradition to hang outside on the front door or near the front door. I think it would be luckier to hang one on the front door and one on the back door. That would keep the luck inside the home.

The best place is above a doorway - preferably the main entrance to the house. However, you have to have it so that the open end is at the top so the horseshoe can "hold" all the good luck.

Over a doorway but, one that isn't actually used ( doorway) because if it should loosen and fall..ouch !!! As a rule, the horseshoe should be hung with the opening on top vs. with the connected part facing upward. It is a symbol for Good Luck.

Well I guess the front door. So everyone could see it and it could give you some luck I am sure ! But its your decision . So whatever you think is where you could get the best luck .But find a good place for then you could get some luck! Well hope it helps !

traditionally i would hang it over the door entry. but in the new millennium i would have some work done on it and turn it into a belt buckle. It will bring you luck and protection on the go plus you could put some bling on it.

Traditional place would be over your front door, with the open part up, so it holds the luck in, of course.

Make sure it doesn't interfere with any of the mechanical workings of the clock. That would be bad luck because it would mess up the clock.
Wherever you hang it, make sure that it is well fastened.
