I don't think they generally die from getting skinned. I hope they are killed first, and then skinned after they're dead.

I may want the skin, but I don't want the animal to suffer unnecessarily.

I think all of the ones that got skinned die, so it is 100% in that group.

As far as how many that is I would be willing to bet that no one has an authoritative answer on that and if someone gives a count they made it up.
