ok i have a 30 gallon tank and i have the heater set at 80 but for some reason the water is at 85. when she is in the water she is all happy and moving and sometimes just sits under the driftwood. but when shes on land she just lays there and when i pick her up she is very lethargic where normally she is freakin out tryin to get me to put her down. ill stop feeding reptomin and ill just put alot of minnows in there but what else can i do

I think that something is wrong. I have kept snapping turtles for many years, and they very seldom bask. If I understand correctly, the turtle is lethargic as well. Since you don't give much background info, I can't diagnose this, but will make a couple of observations:
-Lethargy is frequently the result of being kept too cool. Increase the temperature of the water.
-Stop feeding beef heart, it is WAY too high in protein. Feed more minnows, insects, and earthworms.

It could be that its to cold but i have heard cases of snapping turtles swimming in waters that are freezing over, so yeah i doubt it. I wouldn't feed reptomin since they base it for RES and other turtles that eat veggies as they get older Snapping turtles are carnivorous. There is to much veggetation in the reptomin. I usualwly keep my CST water at 60+ and the turtle does fine. Do you have a big enough enclosure?

Is it really a Snapping Turtle? They rarely bask in the open, so this might be a REALLY bad sign.

However, a lot of people call a lot of turtles 'snappers', so this might be a slider or something as well.

The most likely issue is cold water- use a good heater to boost water temps to 75-80F and check out the care articles at http://www.austinsturtlepage.com for more.

turtles love to bask there in the sun. as long as she has water nearby she can swim in if she gets too hot it should be fine
