No - you earned it, and they paid it for work performed.
No one will have issues with that.
But, they can "unhire" you at a whim, with or without reason under the "at will" doctrine whether you lied or not.
Whether they do or not will depend on how valuable you are to the company..easily replaced, then don't expect much.

Yes. But it will depend on state law and your employment agreement. If they paid for a background check, pre-employment physical or drug screen, or even specialized training, it is possible they can withhold the money from your final paycheck. It is doubtful they would come after you in court as the lawyer fees would probably be greater than what you might owe.

It would seem to me that they should have done their own background check before hiring you. To me, if you have worked you should be paid for the work you did but, they do have the right to fire you since you lied on your application. Not a good idea!

I don't think so. If you've earned money working for a company, it's yours. If you lied about your background and the company finds out, they'll just simply show you the door.

Didn't you read fine print just below your signature. They can attempt to get much more than what was paid. It use to generally be fine between five and ten thousand.

No, they can't - not legally anyway. (Or at least not in any jurisdiction in the US)
They can, of course, fire you immediately, and usually will. Whatever they paid tou for the hours you actually worked, though, you get to keep.

I hope so. If you did it to me I'd pound you into the ground and take everything from you that you thought was yours to keep.
Get it? Don't lie, tell the truth, be a real man.

Generally no, if you actually worked the job you were hired to do.
But of course they can fire you.

Yes, they can. They can sue you for fraud and retrive the money that way, or end up garnishing your wages.
