If you get injured on the job and company DR puts you on "light duty" is it legal for the employer to let you do light duty at a reduced rate of pay because it is clercial work instead of your normal job duties?

Yes, but at least in my state, you'd receive the difference between what you earned and your WC disability benefit.

I doubt it. I'm in a different state but my mother was reduced to clerical duties when she broke her arm (she's a health care professional with a master's degree); she received her regular salary.

I would really call the Worker's Comp office in IL and let them know this is going on.
