Prescott Bush try to cause a coup and over throw FDR.
W Bush did cause a Coup. He was appointed by the supreme court in 2000 by 4 of the people G H Bush appointed as VP and as the president.
Prescott Bush was a war profiteer during WWII
W Bush is a war profiteer during Iraq. We don't have the evidence to prove that he is making money but his Friends and families wealth has gone up.
I would not say He is the weak link he just did what grandpa told him to do. It seems Geo H Bush may have had some morals or might have been the black sheep of the family.

Considering that he has won 2 presidential elections (though technically not in 2000), in his political power, no.
However, his policies have been horrible, and utterly lacking in morals. Of course, the Bush family didn't accumulate its wealth via altruism ..
