I think nice Hallmark cards look more official than one you make yourself, that is if your using a program like print shop to make the self-made card. For a romantic card I would go with Hallmark.

creating your own means so much more because it is coming straight from the heart. i love getting home made cards cause i know the words in them are straight from the heart and mean alot more
