If you are doing nothing wrong why would you care? Even if you were the government would gain nothing from "scanning".

So it is a detector issue. If it was defective this would happen all of the time and in other places than your house. What kind of detector do you have? Mine cheeps differently depending on wether the signal is near or far. Mine also will start cheeping when I pull into a shopping center as it is the alarm systems of stores that sets it off. But it makes a sound at a different rate. Cell towers, serious power lines, a home network and many things are known to set detectors off.

I wouldn't really worry about it. If it is bugging you though you might try driving around your neighborhood from different directions. You might get an idea as to where the interference is coming from.

Your house is NOT being scanned by x-band radar. It is entirely possible that radar is being used near your house regularly, but not to scan the house. It in more likely your radar detector is malfunctioning. Do you or any of your neighbors have a wireless computer network? Maybe your radar detector is being triggered by that.

Umm...exactly what could anyone ascertain by scanning your house with Radar...if the y wanted to surveil you they would use something useful like say cameras....radar would tell them exactly nothing

Don't worry as long as your house is not going over the speed limit on your street.

Seriously, google is your friend. Probably other people have reported and solved similar issues.
