I should have said that even though my daughter has these things, she has never asked for them we chose to give her them, also whilst i rolled my eyes at the answer relating to excerise because i failed to mention my daughter is very fit and won silver at the scottish Tae Kwon Do championships, also she does chores etc and I may spoil her but myself and her father work hard to give her these things but she has been taught the value of things. I only asked for suggestions not critisism

aw thats really sweet your obviously a very nice, caring person. when my church did that sort of thing, we did the shoe box appeal? are you doing that? i am not sure so if you are and i suggest things that wont fit, i'm sorry! well here are some things. oh and by the way i am only a couple of years older than eleven so I know what eleven year olds tend to like. :) a board game, but one without words? like a stacking game or pictionary or something? some stationary, eleven year olds adore cute little things like that. if you live in Australia or New Zealand, there is a great stationary shop called smiggle that is really popular. A soft toy, but a really sweet one, not too babyish? im not too sure about this one. Sorry i dont think i was much help! Good Luck! :)

All i can say is i hope your daughters grateful for all she's got.

When i was that age all i wanted for christmas was a electronic diary (and i was thrilled when i got it).

Why not buy her a small pet such as a rabbit or guinea pig if she doesnt already have one. That way it will teach her how to be responsible for another life (ie - rembering to feed it, love it, clean its cage, groom it, etc). It will also be something she can love for many years to come.

I also liked the suggestion of getting an ethical gift, such as building a well in a third world country, or you could let her adopt a wild animal (i think wspca does this).

I know how u feel, I'm in the same boat, I have 2 sons 16 and 18, I buy them everything .

I emptied my savings to buy my oldest son a cfitroen saxo for his 18th b.irthday, he got it a few months early as the car turned up first b4 his birthday.

So what I do 4 one I ndo 4 the other, I was skint so I sold my car and stashed a few quid in his bank for his car.

I paid all things like licence, 2x theory test, driving lessons till they pass, test fees, insurance etc etcf.

I do this as I love my kids, but I cannot be a dad they would like to take them places as ihave multiple illnesses and disabilities including brain haemorrhage, 17 mini strokes kidney failure requiring haemodialysis 3 btimes a week every week, and more. I could be b dead in 7 years but I will put up one hell of a fight.

Something that will help you spend more time with your daughter.

If you love her enough to give her all those great gizmo's what she probably wants is something she can share with you.

Board games to play as a family
A project to work on, e.g. model making, sewing, cross-stitching, cooking.

A joint set of horse riding lessons.

A holiday together.

A promise to spend dedicated time together each week.

A book to read together.

Anything that gets you spending time with your daughter, which in 20 years time she will remember, not that amount of nintendo games she had!
Think outside the (x)box!

A telescope and a beginners book on Astronomy - or something like that - which is educational - and fun.

Also - how about sponsoring a child who lives in poverty and an animal in a sanctuary - both in your child's name. There are loads of organisations on the net that will give you more information on this.

Good luck - and Merry Christmas.

1)new skis along with the lesson
2)i-phone
3)have her bedroom redecorated like on trading spaces
Little less
1)uggs
2)books
3)cute purse filled with girlly stuff

I would suggest games for her computer or wii and ps2. Also, outdoor games that would be kind of fun, such as Monster Croquet or something along those lines. Board games are good too. Or you could be creative and give her a "coupon" in an envelope for "1 free pizza party with 7 guests" or something like that. =)

An empty box.

She has everything already, so you can then tell her that the present you purchased was donated to a children's Christmas fund to give a child who has nothing a present at Christmas.
