I have my 30th high school reunion on Friday and am trying to decide what to wear. I don't buy many dressy things as I work at home and don't go out often. I need help figuring out what's in style, what kind of shoes, etc.

Take a quick ride over to the mall, and check out the windows. You'll notice that many stores have the same styles available. If it's in a mall shop window, it's in style. Have a nice time at the reunion.

Okay, here's some recent fashion trends from which you might choose one that suits: Winter white is in but it's a little wintery for just now, black and white, print or solid is in, and is nice for dressy! Over the knee boots with shorter skirts is sexy, glam looks that have shine (more like the gleam of satin or lurex, not so much wall to wall sequins or lame), cloth you would expect to see in a man's suit paired with more luxurious fabrics such as silk or satin, (or in the case of shoes, with leather), a simply cut minidress or knee length frock in a 1960's style (think Peter Max) print with solid accessories, little silver or gold or bronze dresses. What does not seem to be current is what they call matchy-matchy, which seems to mean dinner suits, wearing slacks or skirts with jackets that make a set, sweater sets are being worn, for instance but rarely as sets -- the cardigan with some other thing under, the shell with a pashmina or a close fitting jacket that has some camo or military detail. Tiny, close fitting jackets are good, shrugs in luxurious, soft knits with slip dresses. Why not try messing with some of what is already in your closet? The dress from this, the jacket from that, and buy some new shoes. (Because, it's SHOES. Who doesn't want a new pair?) Another classic thing that's current for evening is red. Find your shade of it and you will look stunning. If you really want to stand out, steer clear of the little black dress. They are reliable, but everyone will be wearing one. Be comfortable, but don't miss the chance to express yourself a little with your outfit. Have a wonderful time!

are you a business women? try a cream colored suit (with a skirt) with some nice gold jewelry and brown flats. If you are more of the stay at home mom kinda person, I suggest a dress that goes with about mid-knee length with a solid color and flats. Try something that cinches at the waist, maybe an overlapping v-neck. The right kind of sleeves really depend on the weather. If it's cold, I suggest a flowing 3/4 sleeve arm the cinches to the arm. Wear this with some nice black flats or strappies and a pearl necklace. Hope I helped and goodluck at your reunion (:
