This will be my fourth year in the US and I've finally decided to brave the crowds. I've gone to www.blackfriday.info to construct a list. I plan on waking up early. I just need to know any success tips to making this day go well and getting the best deals possible. I'm hoping to get all my shopping done. So, how do you make Black Friday work for you?

Thanks!!

I will be away this year on Friday. But the years that I did well I went with family members to the store that had most of what we wanted and got there insanely early. Then we ran like a wild pack through the store scooping up what we had decided to buy. If the lines were long one of us was the designated checkout line standee. When we got most of the stuff and got into the line where our standee was, at least one of us wandered around looking for some special we had never even thought of by looking at the ads.

I'm certainly learning a lot from Y/A. I googled to find out what Black Friday is. Here in Ireland, the traditional day to go Christmas shopping is 8th December, which formerly was a free day from schools and many workplaces, being a church holy day. It is not a free day now, but a lot of people would still do their shopping then.

well my mom and i always go together so that if there are huge lines we can go into the store and my mom can get in line immediately while i run around the store and get what we need. by the time im done she is almost to the beginning of the line. another good tip is to have a list of all the stores you are going to and exactly what you want to get there. it will help you go alot faster than just looking around. hope you have a good time!

Well, I work at Walmart, so I have my gifts picked out and while we are not allowed to buy anything till out lunch, I run around then and hope that there are some things left. If not, then I just pay full price.

We also have a sale that runs through Sat. so I get things there also.
