i always have artificial and i'm putting my tree up next week, real trees are messy enough, even more so with 4 children and 2 cats, we're putting our tree and decs up next week, but i can guarantee that my tree will have to be redecorated a minimum of 15 times before xmas day, because my 2omth old son and kittens will be messing, my 6yr old daughter wont be able to resist the chocolate on it, and my 8yr old sons sponge football will land in it everytime, the only one i can trust this year is my 12 yr old daughter,

I haven't but I'm thinking of putting it up soon, before the caroling group comes. I'd like a real tree if I can get one but I'd settle for an artificial tree. It's not expensive and since it comes in pieces it does not cause transport problem. Its convenient too, since I can dismantle it after the season and keep it in the cupboard until next Christmas. Real or artificial, the tree will definitely lit up your house and makes it more festive.

I think the real ones are more festive but they just make a mess =] If you don't mind cleaning up after it I would aways go for a real one

I'm not allowed our tree up yet =/

No I don't have my tree up but i definatily will in the next week. Yes I think real ones are festive. They smell is amazing and I love them. It is a big mess though but I feel it's worth it. But it is also a fire hazard so I haven't lit my fireplace in years but I don't mind. I live in a warm state so i don't really need it.

Love them, theres nothing nicer than the smell of a real Christmas tree in the house, really makes it Christmas time.

Christmas trees traditionally do not get put up until the 8th of Dec , as always thats when ours will go up (",)

Love! I don't like real ones because they're too much hassle - but they look good. We've just been out and bought lots of decorations for the tree that we will be getting soon, because my Nana has decided I am allowed one =) (she's not had one for six years because my Granddad died 22nd December 2000 - the tree that year came down immediately and she gave it away - and then my Dad died 17th November 2005 - so she tends to ignore Christmas).

I'm allergic to evergreen trees, and we had to throw our 'fake' tree away (it was worn out) ... so this year, my husband is going to make me a 'tree' out of a closet rod and dowels ... we may not use it every year, but we can use it in different forms for an 'Easter tree' or to show of 'hanging ornaments' at other times of the year. I still LOVE real trees, but would only get a small one I could plant outside after Christmas ... otherwise it's not 'ecologically sound.'

Haven't got our Christmas Decs up yet!

When i was young, we used to have a real huge Christmas Tree. I remember my dad having to cut the top off just to get it inside the house!
We used sit by the fireplace on Christmas Eve and have our 'Christmas Fire' which i loved as a kid!

x Have a good one people :) x

I love them and I love decorating them! I've not got my tree up yet, not until the 1st of December. I've got a fibre optic one and I think its just as nice as a real one, although I would love to own a real one but they shed needles like no-ones business!

No its way to early for xmas trees!!
I love them once their up and decorated, i loathe having to go up the loft every year and drag it down!!
I think real ones are lovely but i have an artificial one as its tidier!
