how hot can it be?....enough to immediately scorch and burn the skin?....enough to completely engulf and consume at once....?
will one instantly die? and how close can one get to a fiery wildfire? O.o
is it possible? does it happen? has anyone tried it and lived to tell?

You can choose how close you get to the fire, and therefore how hot you get. The problem is that wildfires are strongly affected by wind, and also generate their own winds. The problems occur when firefighters, even with protective gear, are trapped by a wildfire that suddenly changes direction and sweeps over them. If they immediately and properly deploy their individual fire shelter, they stand a good chance of surviving. Otherwise, death is fairly quick but not immediate, and intensely painful. Many have survived that way. Many more died.

If I'm foolish enough to get that close, I think my physical body will melt like rubber almost immediately even before I'm able to scream more femininely than a woman.
Let's wait for Lucifer, who's a mainstay here, to answer the question. He's fire-proof. Why he chose that name, I haven't a clue.

you will get burned and if your skin gets to scorched
you'll wish you were dead if you aren't. i haven't been close
to a wildfire, but i wouldn't want to either.

They burn or if they fart their fart catchs on fire.lol.
i've never tried it and if i did i would be dead, probably, but i don't know exactly what would happen if i did.
