Someone gave me a Samsung SF430 all in one machine, I checked the ink levels and it stated the colour is 8/8 and the black is 6/8 however when i do try to photocopy, it prints out a blank sheet.

The Samsung SF430 cartridges are a combination ink and printhead cartridge. Meaning the printhead is right on the cartridge.
Chances are that the printhead is clogged and it's best to buy new cartridges.
That said, you can try to unclog them by repeatedly dabbing the printhead contacts with a cotton swab dipped in water (since the inks are water soluable). If that doesn't work...buy new cartridges.
...although a new printer would be less expensive!

best guess is the printheads are clogged.
some clogs cannot be resolved, hopefully you might ask around to borrow a cartrige instead of buying it, just to see if it will work at all
