I'm so glad you're still here, I enjoy reading your questions and answers so much. I'm so sorry about the animal shelter. I know you love animals. You could check the web site or call whoever is in charge of the shelter to see if there is something you'd be able to do. I know you're having a hard time yourself though, Bless You for caring so much!

Thank goodness we haven't experienced any tragedy's in my town this year. I am so very sorry to hear about the animals that burnt.
Maybe you would like this idea, can you foster some pets so they won't go to the shelters or be euthanized? Many people out here do that. On the weekends they take their pets with a group of others to a park or in front of Lowe's and spend the day waiting for the right people to adopt them. That's all I can suggest to you. My heart goes out to your entire town. Love Granny

I guess the best thing is to help clean up the mess and get people to donate to re-build. There's nothing you can do to bring them back, so look to the future and start saving the ones that need help TODAY.
Start a fostering program until a new Animal Shelter can be built.
It is a true tragedy. Sorry for your town.

It is a very sad thing but if there might possibly be a bright spot out of the tragedy I would say it would be that all the animals who lost their lives will not have to spend a cold winter waiting for a new home...they've found one.

That happened right around the corner from me on Great Neck Road next to Hardees. I live in POW. Some made it out. It was an animal hospital. Are we talking about the same place?

That is awful. Nothing you can do for the poor animals now but maybe there will be a funderaiser when they get ready to start up a new center and you can help. Hope you feel better and get to help in some way.

That is truly a tragedy. I wish I had something to say that would make things better. Bless you for your concern.
I honestly don't know what I would do if I was in your place. Maybe, as suggested, help out with fostering if you are in a position to do so. So sorry to hear your news.

I'm so happy that you are still here but so sad for the poor animals. I am at a loss as to what to do unless people do things to raise money like car washes and such.

Terrible! Where was the fire department, Justme has a great point? You might contact PETA for help funding a new Shelter!

We just had a horrible fire close enough to me, a pig farm caught fire and 1000 out of 1400 perished The owner is so distraught and numb at this point. I feel so very sad for him and his loss.
