what is the mode of: $1.67, $1.29, $0.70, $1.29, $0.89, $0.89, $0.79, $1.67, $0.79, $0.57, $0.79?

Well, 'mode' means 'most occuring' meaning the number that appears the most. Sooo, figure it out for yourself!
Tip: try organizing the numbers in order from least ammount to greatest (or vica versa)! Should help.

the mode means the most frequent number...

go through your list... how many times does each value show up?

1.67 - 2 times
1.29 - 2 times
0.70 - 1 time
0.89 - 2 times
0.79 - 3 times
0.57 - 1 time

add them up to make sure you didn't miss any...2+2+1+2+3+1 = 11
you have 11 entries - so ok...

which one occured the most? $0.79!! so..that is your mode
