I worked for HMRC for 42 years. The Revenue staff have never been so badly treated as by this Government. Since New Labour went in, administration has been on a level with Fawlty Towers (but of course it is the fault of the staff, just like the original tax credit fiasco, when they underestimated the amount of queries/claims, and didn't provide enough phones/ computer capacity). I am lucky to be retired and out of it, but I feel for ex-colleagues still there.

No. Why should I be? this is another good reason for not buying the Governments ID cards. Just think what the scammers and criminals would do with the details of the whole country in their hands. It is bad enough being ripped off be the EU.

Nothing whatsoever surprises me about this government or the people it employs. There is no need for anyone to be half competent at their job because nobody is ever sacked and no politician has the integrity to resign when he/she messes up.

Surprised? No. Angry? Yes. You are quite right. If it had of been you or me, or anybody else for that matter we would have been out on our backsides long before now. Incompetent. Inept. Incapable. That just about sums this Labour Government up...

Nothing this government does will ever surprise me. What does surprise me is that the majority of the public will shrug their shoulders and forget about it until the next f*** up.
