Im not to sure what the parts are called but i cant seem to get the gear to line up with the clutch ratchet i just dont understand i think it is too short let me know if you understand what im trying to say thanks....

If you rebuilt the clutch, you may have assembled it wrong, or left a part out.
Whatever - look up your bike here and look at the clutch picture.

There are two adlustment areas, one at the bar perch, the other at the engine case. The lower one should take up about 3/4 of the slack, the bar perch the rest. There should 1/8 to 1/4" of free play at the lever. If lubed properly the pull at the lever should feel like extra heavy duty toilet-paper coming of a roll. If not adjusted properly the clutch may either slip or make shifting difficult.
