How do you describe screaming...aside from writing 'ahhhhhhhh,' which of course is quite lame. I can describe it, but I haven't been able to get it to sound like she was filled with terror. Any ideas?

Writing in all capital letters is one way to denote screaming in literature. Other methods are finding the right adjectives. Search the dictionary or thesaurus for alternate words that can be used to depict screaming.

I've always found it more effective to describe the scream or the terror, instead of trying to spell it out.
