Republicanism and Mormonism are not necessarily a "good fit" for each other. The Mormon Church does not endorse one political party over another. In fact, the most powerful Mormon politician in the United States today is Harry Reid, the senate majority leader, a Democrat.

i'm easily very thick skinned and care little or no the way you view your self or the way you view Mormons. I in no way voted for Mitt Romney and that i evaluate myself a average Democrat. sure, there are various Republicans that are Mormons yet extremely some us are Democrats besides. i do no longer think of i might desire to remind you that Harry Reid is a Mormon and a popular Democrat. Are Mormons taking on the Democratic occasion?

As opposed to the Democratic party? Is that what you're wondering?

It is a fit because Mormons and Republicans both believe:

*in the value of the family
*that scientists are correct in saying the life process begins at conception
*that social problems are best solved by the people and not a governing body
*it is okay to have money
*that hard work is a value

Mormons fit with Democrats in that they both believe:

*that emotion trumps logic
*helping the poor is extremely important
*who cares if you're already married?

Because they both needs liars to defend them.

BTW, if Mitt ever gets to be the Republican Nominee and the press starts asking him to defend his beliefs about Mormon, (like about the Italian angel Moroni) they'll clobber him.

Even if they are Mormons, they are believers. Which doesn't make them a good fit for Republicans necessarily, but makes him too conservative for the Dems.
