I have been building custom machines for almost 5 years now and have "run out" of customers. All my clients (and everyone they have recommended me too) have new machines and wont be upgrading for a few years. Some place that caters to local areas would be preferred. I have not ever tried to sell on Ebay and have little experience with website creation.
I have already tried Craigslist.com, oodle.com and MSN.com and the local paper... any other ideas.
Bonus points if the site is geared towards or draws traffic from computer users looking to upgrade or buy new machines rather than a buy every thing under the sun kind of site (like Ebay) . Any ideas?

Advertise in your local paper.

Are you aware that anyone you sell a custom computer to has the right to receive warranty work from you? The minimum is a year.

These folks can't receive assistance from Microsoft, they are directed back to the "manufacturer" who sold them the system. Which, in this case would be you.

There isn't anything wrong with this as long as you are aware of this stipulation when using a OEM OS version, and that you post your warranty information in an easily seen area in the manual(s) you provide, along with your phone number. Otherwise you are wide open to lawsuits. Which would negate the entire enterprise of selling computers on a small time basis.

I am not trying to discourage you, only point out that once your business grows you really need to be able to meet the needs of your customers.

I wish you all the success with your business. Many people have started out exactly like you and have grown their business into a mulit-million dollar enterprise. Before you know it you will be needing employees!!

MOST folks do not purchase used PCs. Mostly due to the fact whilst anybody sells a used PC, it's out dated. The one you're promoting appears well! Not too historical judging the elements... however there are higher desktops for what you paid now. In this, promote it a bit over part of what you paid. If you rather desire any benefit, you do not receive below part of what you paid. But do not assume plenty or close what you paid. While customs are on the whole higher for the common proprietor, others might see it as a drawback, because their are not any company warranties at the entire pc, so folks with undeniable, fundamental knowledgeof desktops, cannot do so much if anything malfunctions... My recommendation, begin at what you desire to make from it so far as gains pass. Wait every week, then begin shedding the fee through approximately $forty-$50 every week after that. But as soon as once more, do not pass beneath part of what you paid... I might pay $six hundred at so much for my part. Good pc, only a tad bit obsolete for me and my video games :) Hope I helped! Good Luck!
