Well i have definitely had my share of depression and anxiety, and what really really helped me and would help anybody, was a program called Attacking Depression And Anxiety, from the Midwest center, it's a 15week course and it dramatically changes the way you think, feel, present your self EVERYTHING, this course is pretty expensive, but they have payment plans and stuff it's totally awesome! and also some other things that were helpful was just taking care of my self, making sure i ate good, vitamins, NEVER letting myself just lay in bed, taking walks***, exercising and just learning how to relax. Depression is really hard to handle it seems, but with little simple things it can and WILL get better! You just have to believe it! Life good sweetie, and remember to stay as positive as you can, don't let other people get you down and if you have friends that are not the most cheerful to be around, maybe take a break from them.

First I need to know why you are depressed. Second please feel better. This world that God made was supposed to be happy and good. Try writing depressing poetry while you are sad. It helps when you are writing. Also try watching movies that seem funny to you. If you already did this, I am sorry that I am of no help. Have you ever felt that you wanted to help someone but just did not know how? well I feel like that right now and very miserable because you are depressed and I can do nothing to help. Please get better. I also suggest that you take lots of naps and just drink hot chocolate.

i'm just starting to rebuild after falling into a major depression and loosing everything (husband, house, friends, family, $100K+ career.
i saw and still am lucky that i can see my therapist every week. i'm taking meds.
you didn't go into details as to what you are depressed about, but in regards to "visiting counselors," i'm wondering if you had any commitment to giving therapy time. did you just go a few times and thought to yourself that ... this isn't helping? ask yourself what your expectations were when you went to therapy. did you want a quick fix? 'cause that is not going to happen. i've been working on rebuilding and learning and understanding myself and finding a balance for a year now and i am just starting to feel like i have my two feet on the ground.
i also felt like i wasn't advancing and even now, i still want to be in the future -- i don't want to deal with the feelings that i have right now, but looking back, i've come a long way. i stuck with my meds, i stuck with my therapist and i tried to push myself to do what i needed to do.
results are best seen when a patient is taking meds and therapy together. when seeing a therapist, be sure you feel comfortable and secure with that person, otherwise, go to another.
good luck

You need to think very carefully about what it is that's putting you down. There must be something that's playing a major part in your mood change. You need to find out what that is and talk to someone about THAT. never mind being embarrassed. if you don't let it out it's gonna do a lot more damage from the inside. you've tried counselors. have you tried a psychiatrist? If it's manic depression or clinical you may want to take a bit of medication to calm all that noise in your head.

Before you ask for anti-depressants, try taking large doses of "B" vitamins - of the B-100 variety - for a week and see if you feel a bit better. Get a jar of almond butter and have almond butter on toast for breakfast every morning. Also if you can, cut sugar out of your diet completely. If all that doesn't help you, then make an appointment to see a psychiatrist next week to find out if you are clinically depressed.

U said that you spoke to a counselor ... We'll if they were any good they would have gave you some advice about your feelings and how to deal with them. And/or how to cope with the depression.
What are you depressed about? Try to figure out why you are feeling depressed. What is the real reason. Then after you figure it out , Ask yourself if you can deal with it. Is it something that can be resolved? Can it be fixed? If not I suggest talking to another councilor and seeing what your options are from there.

Maybe you need to get to a medical doctor for something that will help you change your mood. Don't waste time and go now!!!
You sound like you are in desperate need of someone to talk with. Don't you have a family member you can confide in and do something that you enjoy. Even just talking and laughing may help. Good Luck

Tell someone very soon. You may need more help. It may not be depression, but let a professional help determine what is making you feel this way. Talk to your mother, aunt, teacher, preacher etc.

Now you need to see a doctor--depression can be caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, and you can correct that with the proper medication.
Good luck!
