I still think they should kept Mo Evans. Brian Cook is fine enough. But the Lakers did need some defense. But they are a pretty decent team considering whats happend to them in the last 3 season's!

Trevor Ariza better have a decent stint or else the Laker crowd will booo the hell out of him

perhaps, a first step towards a blockbuster trade, for which the Lakers needed a roster spot?

Ariza is good. Good defender with size, so Kobe can relax a bit on defense (I dont think he will. He is on a mission). I remember when Ariza was traded to the Magic, people here in NY criticized Isiah for giving him up.

Trevor Ariza stepped up alot. he's the subsequent Lamar Odom. i think of Ariza grew to become into extra key for the Lakers.. The Boston celtics had a lengthy sequence with the Lakers, so they went deep into there bench to Eddie residing house, James Posey, Leon Powe, Glenn Davis. The Celtics had many innovations on the bench. Ariza averaged 11 factors, 4 rebounds with 2 assists. Ariza is a key contributor to the Lakers, he's there destiny with Andrew Bynum. Posey got here off for the bench averaging surprisingly much 7 factors. getting 22 minutes. additionally with 4 rebounds and a million.0 assists in step with. Posey grew to become right into a risk coming off the bench. If the money is there seek for Ariza to stay, yet whilst he's approached with a huge deal, he won't refuse. Ariza ought to be clever together with his selection because of the fact the way forward for wining is with the pink and GOLD.

No mo' Mo'? Awwwww... man i really liked Evans. But i ain't gonna lie man, i'm happy Cook is gone. You're 6'10" can't rebound, can't defend, aren't particularly fast, shoot every time the ball is in your hands, have a bad attitude (yeah so does a certain superstar on the same team, but come on!), have a worse contract, and you couldn't jump over a sheet of paper if it was a floor below you... a goodbye to a bad Cook!

As for Trevor Ariza... he's a young guy with some upside. and is in that jack of all trades mode of player with a lot of athleticism. plus he's a good defender, and cuts to the rim with good wingspan like pip, jordan, harper... I'm not comparing him to any of those player its just what phil jackson prefers from previous success in the triangle offense.

Good luck to Mo...hate to see you go. Im just surprised that someone actually wanted Cook. I just hope that the Lakers dont miss Mo to much cause he was a spark plug off the bench sometimes w/ his energy.

Cookie can't play D but he'll always be a laker in my book..Mad about Evans..."Mighty Mo" brought good energy ...Hopefully we get a solid rebounder for 5 spot..(crossing fingers)

Don't know a whole lot about it, but the Lakers definitely could use the help on defense. I think it'll help them out.
