Probably, but I can't say for sure (I read an article concerning the SAT's scores of famous people...GWB's was in the low 1200's, but I don't know what the median or average was at Yale when he attended). As far as Harvard Business School (I think that's where he went to B-School) and his GMAT score, I have no clue.

My son's scores are in the 67% for over all with Critical Reading at 92% SAT and he never even studied and from what I've read in Ivy league college forums,

it would be almost impossible to get in with 70%

Bush was a legacy meaning he got it because of Daddy.

Not at all.
If anything, the professors there were all too concious that W's "daddy" was a high ranking Republican. Under such circumstances W did well to graduate!

I say this because the History Department at Berkeley appearently taped into the computer used for the "Berkeley Campus republicans" and found out that I was one of them.
I was told this by a fellow student in a class w/ me in which I was having a hard time with the professor. (I even went to the student advocates Office with a complaint.)

No way was W given an ounce of slack!

I doubt they were even a consideration.

GW's father graduated from Yale; Dumbya's admission was "grandfathered" in.

Of course. They always are when you are the child of a powerful alumni. Al Gores son, an average student, just got into one of the Ivy's, Yale I believe.

he's not that dumb, his grades got leaked and were floating around last election, he was around 1300 on SAT (which isnt incredible by any means but its pretty good) that's higher than 70th percentile, i think its about what i got and i was probably low 90s

and what is so wrong about legacies anyway? im not that familiar with the ivy league schools but i beleive they are private institutions, if they want to let in borderline people in with a strong family history there who have supported the institution for years, i really dont have a problem with it. i dont think state funded schools should but private schools should be able to do whatever they want

The word "legacy" kicks in here.
The ultimate in welfare for the wealthy.

Who cares. Instead think about the SAT and GPA scores for those fools who voted for the pud.

Private schools are partial to certain people and they don't have to have hard and fast standards.
