I'm working. But I like the idea of exercise. That's the best way to prepare for the feast. At Christmas I'm hosting, so I'll have a timetable where I'm not squeezing everything into a few short hours. As a matter of fact, I'm cooking four dishes to bring - already made a pie yesterday, in the freezer, making some lasagna tonite and freezing it, making some bread dough tomorrow night, and Thursday morning I'm going to pack everything up and head off to the relatives with a car full of frozen home-made items.

I don't cook the dinner, but I read in a good magazine that one can make the mashed potatoes, some of the casseroles, and even the turkey the day before and just heat them up.
As for cleaning, get as much of it done a few days before-all the major stuff like bathrooms, under the couch, and the fridge-so you don't have cleaning as a major stress.

I am pre-making whatever I can, like the pie and the trifle for dessert, and making sure the house is clean. Making sure all the prep work is done (chopping, slicing, what have you) so all I have to do is mix things together and throw it in the oven. This is the first time I'm making Thanksgiving dinner myself :)

My wife and I are cleaning our house top to bottom...plus making sure we have all the ingredients for our dishes. Usually we make our desserts the night before, not to mention I have to clean the pheasant I got that we put out also along with turkey and ham.
