The 1979 dollar coins (the lady is Susan B. Anthony) are most likely rather common. First, we need to know the mint mark, which is located at the right side of the base of Anthony's portrait (P, D, or S). Most varieties are only worth $2 or less, since hundreds of millions were made. There is one better variety, which is hard to describe without a photo (this variety has the date very close to the rim).

The 1936 nickel is common in heavily circulated grade. The mint mark, if any, is located below the buffalo (Plain, D, or S). A coin in absolutely as-new condition is worth about $20. A heavily worn coin is worth about 35 cents.

Impossible to answer from this info. Start with coin and currency catalogs, available at libraries and if they look like they are any kind of rare, check with a collector-dealer. They will probably charge for evaluation, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
