If I where to purchase spy devices and put them in my bosses office then I would always be a step ahead of the game. They make them pretty small and I am in her office a lot when she is not around. She would never suspect me and I would be king.

This is very foolish and very dishonest. You will get caught. When you get fired, you will have a gap in your resume, or you have to admit that you got fired and why.
